After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics degree from Simon Fraser University, AJ began his investment career with a leading national mutual fund company. From there, AJ was recruited to the Bank of Montreal and subsequently to BMO Nesbitt Burns. Soon after AJ became a portfolio manager at a local investment firm and went on to complete his MBA in Global Asset and Wealth Management at the Segal Graduate School of Business.
AJ holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations and possesses more than 12 years of experience within the finance industry. As part of his role at Pacifica Partners, AJ provides a periodic column for the Financial Post and provides financial market commentary on the Business News Network (BNN).
Aman completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at Simon Fraser University, as well as an MBA in Global Asset and Wealth Management at the Segal Graduate School of Business. Aman is also a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and possesses 16 years of experience in quantitative, statistical, and data modeling.
He has been employed as a Statistical Analyst for Simon Fraser University, and as an Investment Analyst & Equity Trader for a Vancouver based institutional investment firm. In addition to his professional experience, Aman has served on the Simon Fraser University Alumni Board of Directors, has studied visual arts at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
Naveen has varied experience in the investment industry and has a passion for client care. He has worked with a leading Canadian hedge fund firm, providing sales and strategic investment support to over 300 financial advisors, as well as operating independently as a successful Investment Advisor at a leading British Columbia investment firm.
Naveen completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University, as well as an MBA in Global Asset and Wealth Management at the Segal Graduate School of Business. Naveen has completed the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level I exam and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).
Russell joined Pacifica Partners to serve current and new clients. He was most recently with a correspondent broker where he managed relationships with investment managers, including us. For clients, Russell brings decades of experience in meeting the needs of Canadian investors and managing investment portfolios, primarily socially responsible investment ones. For 10 years, Russell led the managers of the mutual funds of a large Canadian socially responsible fund company.
He is a graduate of British Columbia Institute of Technology and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and completed Level I of the CFA program. Having grown up in Vancouver, he is active in his community and spends his free time sailing the coast of BC with his family.
Thomas joined Pacifica Partners as a Portfolio Manager, bringing with him over 15 years of capital markets experience. With several years of focused experience on fixed income investing. Tom has been involved in a variety of roles at independent investment managers and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In addition, Tom has an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Alberta, and a BSc in Mathematics from McGill University. He is also an associate finance professor (teaching) at the University of Calgary.
Neelam acts as our Client Services Coordinator where she supports in responding to client needs, onboarding clients, as well as assisting with the general operations of the firm. Neelam has graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Neelam has had experience working in both a small technology startup and a large retail company, where she was able to demonstrate her ability to assist clients and support her team leaders/superiors.
Kajol is our newest Portfolio Administrator, where she assists in responding to client needs, onboarding clients, and assisting with general firm operations. Kajol recently graduated from SFU with an honors business degree concentrating in Finance and Operations Management. Her finance concentration focused on corporate finance and security analysis, while operations management focused on sustainable business and supply chain management. She is working towards her CFA designation and will write her Level 1 exam this year.
Gurjot is our newest Portfolio Administrator supporting client needs and assisting the firm’s Portfolio Managers. Gurjot will be graduating from SFU with a business degree concentrating in Finance and International business end of this year. He is working towards his CFA designation and is preparing to write his CFA level 1 exam in the coming months.
